I have run into some problems researching my father-in-law's background. He died in 1983. He never would tell us anything about this past and made up a lot of what he did say so I am not taking anything at face value. The name we know him by was Edward Anthony Andrews III but we later learned he was born Kenneth Raymond Burris and that he had at least 4 social security numbers. The VA has given us some info but say that they cannot release some of the info. According to them, one of the aliases is not dead. I truly believe he is dead because he had a very hard time breathing the last that we saw of him due to emphysema. We have found some relatives from a previous marriage, but there is a big gap in his life that we have been unable to fill in.
