I also am dealing with the VA concerning my husband's medical records. My husband is alive and well and we have been trying to get a copy of his med. records for over a year but so far have received zilch. I think a lot depends on the actual employees in the records dept., if they decide they don't want to copy records for you, they don't. We have filled out several requests but they always have some excuse for not giving up the records. I have called the State Rep. for our area and I think the records will now be forth coming.
