Alice, The State library should have some sort of court or inquest records about any accidental or suspicious death. It may take some digging, but there might be newspaper accounts on microfiche. I have not one but two murders committed by family members in my tree(so-called frontier justice). You should see relatives scatter when the subject comes up! Don't let them get you down, or stop you from finding the truth. Those kind of old wounds heal up when exposed to the light! Good luck! Cindy McLaughlin
