Walter Charles Maddox was born 10 Mar 1879 in Owen County, Kentucky, to James Harrison Maddox and Fannie (Kemper) Maddox. He married Lottie TEWELL on 23 Dec 1903 in Madsion, Jefferson County, Indiana. Eventually they moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. Four sons were born to this union, Merrill, Carl, Everett and Floyd. Walter Charles worked at a number of jobs in his life- for the state mental hospital in Indianapolis and for the Railroad. In 1929, when his youngest son was just twelve years old, Walter disappeared. It was a morning like any other. He rose to go to work. Ate breakfast. Lottie packed him a lunch. He kissed her goodbye and was never seen again. The police and members of his lodge looked for him but to no avail. He had simply vanished. One of his sons remains alive this day and would dearly love to know what happened to his father as would his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Does anyone know what happend to Walter Charles Maddox?
