RE: "ancestry.com"... The annual membership fee $59.95 ($5.00 a month!) has been well worth it for me! The A.I.S. (census index search; 1790--1900 and continually growing) is worth it in itself! Also the BLM land patent and other land records have been a valuable tool...as well as many other records and locality information. Good Luck.
