I have wanted to respond to these items about SSDI. My father received benefits ever since the early 1980s, but he is not on any list that I have seen, so there are those who are not on it. I was his bookkeeper so I know that he received his check every month. Jeannie :) Publisher of the Jericho Wall Genealogy Newsletter w/the focus on the missing women in our trees. It is only an index of those deceased who have had death benefits claimed.... this may be totally incorrect but it seems to fit. Hope this helps.
