My maternal GrGrGrandmother Emogene (Barber/Saunders) Curry b Rochester, NY area; d Dec 1952; buried in Pavilion, NY along side her two late husbands 1) ? Barber and 2) Emmett Saunders. (Working on getting headstone photos of all three for dates of birth, middle names and death certificates, etc.) I believe that Emogene took her Curry maiden name back after the husbands passed on. My elderly Aunt, now 82 years old, and the only one left who would remember, and is working on that bit of info. Emogene Curry is buried in Pavilion, NY, 100 miles NE of Elmira, where she lived most of her life. Pavilion is just a stone's throw from Rochester, NY. My maternal GrGrandmother Emogene's daughter, was Maude Emily (Saunders?) Kirkendall b 11 Oct 1869 Tioga Junction, Lawrence Twp, Tioga Co., PA; d 1936. Her husband Edgar Curtis TenBroeck b ? d 1918 Tioga Jct., Lawrence Twp., Tioga Co., PA. In another note it says, "Edgar was killed just prior to 1929??? >>>>>>. Working on this discrepancy. <<<<<< Maude's father was John TenBroeck b 11 Oct 1869 d 1936 in Tioga Jct., Lawrence Twp., Tioga Co., PA. John TenBroeck was jailed for the murder of Edgar Curtis TenBroeck and spent at least 17 years in PA State Prison. The rest is unknown as yet. [NOTE TO LISTERS: I will take any information on the murder. Just don't know where to begin that avenue of searching. !] (Note: John TenBroeck's sister was my Great Aunt Hazel Wyena TenBroeck who married Chester Allen Krebs. Dates are forthcoming.) John TenBroeck My maternal Grandmother Maude's daughter, was Blanche Aletha Saunders Curry (an only child) b 19 Oct 1893 in Rochester, NY; d 10 Feb 1952 in Elmira, NY. Blanche m Earle Robert TenBroeck, Sr. b 11 Apr 1892; d 21 Feb 1968. Blanche and Earle TenBroeck, Sr., were married on 25 May 1913 at 516 Balsam Street, Elmira, NY. Their children: Earle "Sonny" Robert TenBroeck, Jr. b 5 Aug 1919; Arnot Ogden Hospital, Elmira, NY; d 6 Oct 1993 in Lugoff, SC and is buried there. Earle R. TenBroeck Jr.'s widow is still living. My Aunt is also still living. Born 1917 in Elmira, NY; m Carleton Eugene Schroth in 1934 in Elmira, NY d abt 1974?. My Mother is still living. Born 1929 in Elmira, NY.
