I as well have found info on the SSDI. I have recently solved a mystery involving my GGGrandfathers Brother, Frank C. Cameron. No one in our family knew of his existence until I found the 1880 census pertaining to Amos Cameron (my GGG-pa). I not only found him in Texas (where he died), but there is an on-line form that you can print to request the application paperwork that was filled out to receive a S.S. card. I will now be waiting by the mailbox in anticipation!
