    2. RE: LEE Brothers The only thing I can think of to suggest (and you might have already tried this) is to research newspapers of the area they died in My great-great-uncle (Orlando Lard/Laird) died at 25 years old in 1889 in Salem, Oregon. Papers at the cemetery in San Jose, California stated that he died from a gunshot wound. We had nothing else to go on. A friend of a friend who lives in Salem went to the library and researched old newspapers. She found an interesting article about his death. The coroner hastily selected a jury to conduct an inquest about how he died. The viewed the remains, examined the premises, and took testimony from witnesses. They found that he died by his own hands. The article went on to say the most important witnesses were not summoned (for example the doctor who probed the wound and assisted in finding the pistol in its peculiar position). He was also listed as alias Frank Bell. Where or why he had that name is a mystery. Good luck in your research, Louise in California
