    1. Madame Sari of Corsica
    2. pollard
    3. On Saturday, May 22nd, 1999; I acquired a publication by Desmond Seward. In the body of the work, several lovers of Joseph Bonaparte are noted. One of which is a Mrs. Sari but a first name is not given. So, I am posting to this list in hope of contacting someone who may know where I can find biographical and genealogical information on "Mr. and Mrs. Sari" of French occupied Corsica, i.e., now Corsica, Italy. According to the book, Mrs. Sari was known to be a lover of Napoleon Bonaparte's older brother; Joseph Bonaparte sometime between 1817-1830. (See, Napoleon's Family by Desmond Seward, p. 183-190) Desmond Seward's publication also states that Mrs. Sari's husband was enlisted in the Corsican Army. Technically, since Corsica was French occupied/owned; wouldn't Corsica's Army have been considered to be a part of L'Armee de Napoleon (Napoleon's Army)? Best, Dick Pollard [email protected] http://home1.gte.net/pollard/index.htm P.S., Mrs. Sari is said to have produced at least one child as a result of her "affair" with Joseph Bonaparte. Also, since Desmond Seward's book does not clearly state that Mrs. Sari was living in Corsica (which I assume); is it possible that Mrs. Sari may have resided in Jefferson County, i.e., Bordentown, New Jersey and possibly Philadelphia, Pennsylvania?
