Looking for information to find out what happened to my ggrandfather Thomas Franklin WALKER, b. 1871, in Dongola, IL. The son of James B. Walker and Martha Elizabeth Woodard. He also resided in Cairo, IL., where he married Cora Davis on March 13, 1894. She was the daughter of Randolph Marshall Davis and Melinda Louise Peeler. Thomas Franklin listed his occupation as a mechanic on the marriage license. He disappeared before the birth of his only child, my grandmother, on March 9, 1896. She never heard from him or ever saw him in her life, and she lived to be 96 years old. Her mother died when she was 4 years old, and she was raised by her Grandmother.
