John Mark Gardner Sr. Was born January 13,1918 to the late Mr. Timothy Gardner and Mrs. Laura Alexander Gardner in Decatur, Mississippi He departed this life February 1, 1991. at Fort Sill, Oklahoma ( Lawton is where he was residing.) after attending school in his early years at Jones Chapel in Carthage, Mississippi. He moved to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1947 due his military assignment to Fort Sill, Ok. He served 31 yrs. in the Army receiving the American Defense Service Medal: EAMETO Medal: ATO Medal: APTO Medal: World War II Victory Medal: Occupational Medal with clasp (GERMANY) NDSMW Oak Leaf Cluster: and Good Conduct Medal with Bronze Clip with three loops. He married Essie Warree Simmons in 1942... they together raised 15 children.. I am looking for the children John Mark Gardner Sr. had outside of his marriage to Essie...
