I have been searching for information about my children's grandmother, (birth name) Jennie MORENO, who "disappeared" from Salinas, CA in the mid-1940s. Thanks to the kindness of others, I was able to locate a record of her on the 1920 U.S. Census for Tulare County, CA, and found that she had a brother, Verne MORENO, and a half-sister, Angelina RASO. At the time of her death, her name was Jennie MORENO SERRATO. Her death certificate says she was divorced. From her 1975 obituary printed in the Porterville, CA newspaper, I have the names of her 10 surviving children. I have not yet contacted any of these people, even though I have the addresses for two of her sons. Does anyone have any idea how I might make contact with her surviving offspring? They do not know of the existence of my family line. I do not wish to alienate any of them. How can I delicately address the fact that Jennie MORENO had at least two other children they don't know about. I do not wish to bring up any sort of family scandal, but I really do want to know why she left her two sons behind with their father when she vanished.
