Hello, Congratulations! Knowing a name is a big step in adoption search. I do not know of anulment records for the state of Illinois but I wish you luck. Since there are no Rightlers listed in Illinois, I would suggest contacting the Rightlers that are listed in Minnesota and Indiana. There are only 22 listed for all of the US in the People Search at Yahoo so it would feasible to contact them all. You may encounter those who are "resistant" (to say the least) so ease into disclosure of information. I find that beginning with "I am researching my family history and wondered if you know of a Jeanette Rightler who is about 65 years old now?" or some such line. Always be truthful, if you can, but don't tell everthing all at once. Many searchers like to write letters but I use the telephone. :-) I find that the voice can tell a lot and letters are often overlooked or put aside.
