Hi I am a new subscriber and am enjoying the site. I have a mystery i have been trying to solve. I am pretty new to computers so im not sure what all to try. I have been trying to locate some history on my fathers side of the family and i have hit a brick wall, I can find his mothers ok but have been unable to find any thing on my grandfather. His two children died in 1905 under suspicious circumstances. My great aunt and uncle were called to his home by my grandmother as the two children were sick. My great aunt told me that my grandmother had sent my grandfather for the doctor and he hadnt returned so she called them to come. They summoned the doctor but the two children died. The doctor in turn summoned the sheriff as the deaths looked suspicious. My grandmother was 7 months pregnant with my father and so distraught over the deaths of the two children that they felt she might loose the baby if they told her what they suspected. Scarlet fever was going around so even tho the children had died in less than a day after being taken sick they listed the cause of death as scarlet fever. My grandfather was never heard from again and i have been unable to find his name listed anywhere. Its like he fell off of the face of the earth. His name was Clifford Gordon Freeman. His parents name s were Ernest Freeman and Elizabeth Gordon. He was married Feb 1899 to Daisey Luella Mackey in allison Kansas decatuer co, Which is now Oberlin kansas. Can anyone help me ?
