    3. Major stump here folks! I am trying to help my husband find his ancestors and no avail here with his Grandfather James Carse. (No middle name) m. Dora Thompson (could be spelled various ways - no records found to confirm) ENGLAND. They immigrated to the U.S. abt. 1921-1923. Research of the Carse name shows that it could have been changed due to the King banning use of certain names. One possibility could be MacGregor. As I say, not proven as of yet. ANY leads appreciated as I don't want to leave any stone unturned! Thanks all, Lori-Ann Ryan-Carse larc@buckeye-express.com Sunshine, Rainbows & Smiles Larc :o) http://www.dreamwater.com/larc/LarcLandindex.html COMING SOON: My Own Genealogy Web Pages

    1. [GEN-UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES] John Wesley Sheridan
    2. Jessica Moore
    3. Hi, I have a family mystery that I am hoping someone might be able to solve for me. My Ggrandma received a letter from the government some years ago that should have been sent to a family in Ohio. She contacted the family thinking they might be kin and was told that there was a Sheridan who was born in Ohio(sorry I don't have dates). Some conflict happened between he and his family and he fled to Virginia. There has always been a mystery about my GGgrandfather's past. I was told by my Great Aunt that my GGgrandpa, named John Wesley Sheridan, left Virginia around the same time as this fight was supposed to have taken place and joined up with the Ringling Bros. circus as a cook. He worked for them until they arrived in Louisiana. In La. he married and his wife gave birth to my great grandfather. Two years later my GGgrandpa said he was leaving before he killed my GGgrandma's brothers or they killed him, and he disappeared without a trace. Does any part of this story sound familiar to anyone? I am not sure whether the man who left Ohio and my ancestor are the same, but my grandma thought they could be. Also, my Aunt said that several years ago my Ggrandpa heard from someone in Texas that my GGgrandpa was there, but he never went to find out. She said that she thinks that he may have been killed by my GGgrandmother's brothers as he walked away. Any help would be appreciated. Jessica Moore

    3. Jacque - What was the problem or what were the symptoms that made you realize that you were infected by this worm? (Doesn't that sound horrible?!) Or did you find it during a routine virus scan? 3. Dear E-Mail friends and relatives: I am now virus free, But....... Unfortunately I contracted a new virus that attacks your e-mail inbox called NewApt Worm. It WILL NOT destroy your system or be automatically transferred to you just by reading an email.. Please click on the following link to find out about it and what you can do to get rid of it should you receive it in an attachment with an e-mail supposedly from some one you know. I am sorry if you have received this virus laden email from me. I am not sending it! It did it automatically.!!! Best rule of thumb. Never click on an attachment with an .exe file extension. Simply hit delete and get rid of it. I hope your note about unsubbing from above list was not sent in anger because you couldn't get in to super-busy Ancestry.com. One has nothing to do w/ other. Ancestry does this every year at Christmas for a single selfish purpose, to snag new computer owners as subbers for a ridiculous price to obtain info available elsewhere for free or reasonable cost at max. [my opinion] May God be with you at this Christmastide Give to the Needy this Millenium, it won't be forgotten for a lifetime!
