Mom wanted to know if he was still alive and alright. I had not been looking for him at all. He was not hiding very well. If you search his name it comes up on 9 web pages. And he is listed at anywho.com. Just had to figue out which Robert of the 3 it was. Mom happened to be going to California to visit her brother, so she checked it out. Another Robert lives in Texas, as does my other brother. He was next for a visit , if this one did not pan out. I wrote all 3, and none answered. He was 6 years old when our dad died. He went in the moving truck with him alot also. He remembers the good times before our dad died and left us flat broke. Mom had a 6,4 and 2 year old, and my other brother was born 2 weeks after our dad died. He may be hostile because Mom went to the store wher he worked , only to find she was supposed to be dead. This will make him look bad to his boss. Who was kind enough to show mom a few pictures. And even gave he one. I think he inherited that brain tumor that makes you lie about your family. Mary, Why is your brother hostile? Did he have a falling-out with the family some years ago? I gather he is not from your father's "other" Californian family, but has the same father and mother as you ... I don't wish to pry if this is sensitive, just trying to work out the "story". Were you trying to contact him to help piece together your father's history? Pat, You may have misread the intentions of the person trying to unsubscribe. I doubt if he meant it as any sort of insult or ungraciousness, he just wasn't aware of the procedure and happened to reply to one of Pat's entries in his attempt to contact the list. I agree with everone else ... please keep contributing Pat! The list wouldn't be the same without you. Thank you Annie But, Now with the latest from Mary ??? (my problem came from a person by the name of --------and also I had a personal email from him or who? ) I would not again attempt to Answer. I do not feel free as I did before on the List. I think someone is playing a Game with us and I am very upset. I did decide to stay for the present because of ALL the wonderful people who I have grown to love and enjoy. I will play it by ear and see what the future brings. If this problem continues then I would have to again decide to withdraw from the List. I would very much hate to do this because of the people who helped me find my cousin and are helping me to find what happened to my Grandfather. But, Personal attack is something I never expected since I am very emotional with each and everyones problem. I appreciate everyone on this LIST, all who know that I am a sincere person. I enjoy so many of you. I thank the List and the List Administrator who have contacted me and I pray that this will be resolved within a short time. I appreciate all of your support .l Pat
Hi Listers What is going on? Mary now writes again regarding her brother. I had the bad letters of being ???? from responding regarding her brother being found. I answered to "Mary" and got that note from "Jeremy" and now we have another letter from "Mary" . The letter trom Jeremy reamed me out for calling him Mary. I made an Apology to a Jeremy and now I am at a loss. Did I anwer Jeremy or Mary. I am afraid after the emails sent to the List and the ones sent to me personally to respond. Do we have an answer to this? Please help me on this one or is someone playing a Game??
There was no reunion, and it looks like there may not be one. He was not at work when she went to the store. And he came back from vacation that night. I had sent him an e-mail , per mom's request. As he would have just hung up on her if she called, and he did not get home until late from his vacation in Barazil. These e-mails are from before he went to work the next day. I guess he was PO'd that we caught him in a lie. And so had his boss, seeing his dead mother standing there. Maybe after he calms down. answer to 1st e-mail: Just who do you people think you are? If I wanted to have any contact with you (which I emphatically don't), I would. We have anti-stalking laws here in California and ANY attempt to come to my place of business will result in legal action. You have been given your FINAL notice. IN the words of Supreme Court Justice Learned Hand, "the most precious right of every American is to be left alone." answer to my answer to the first, telling him we are your family: Hate has nothing to do with anything, _I_ have made a choice based on things that are important to me and this YOU must respect. I have a different family now and any further interference in my life will not be tolerated and will not be of any satisfaction to any of you. lbrn wrote: > > Hi Group, > I don't know what is going on here. Hi Group, I don't know what is going on here. Have I missed some posts ?? I too would like to know how the reunion went between Robert John and his mother. I hope no one unsubscribes. I don't see where there is a problem. I am still trying to locate William Simon Goynes. I found on the 1880 Trinity Co., TX census Hadley G.-wife Mary-"nephew" William age 1 yr old , then William and wife Mary O-son Champ Dale 1 yr old. I have found nothing else. I think William and Champ must have been twins and the William was my Grfather. I really need help on this. Be Blessed, Lorene

But he is very upsetting and we have had such nice people on this List. --part1_ac.828b80c.26ade2ae_boundary Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Return-Path: <GEN-UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES-L-request@rootsweb.com> Received: from rly-za02.mx.aol.com (rly-za02.mail.aol.com [172.31.36.98]) by air-za05.mail.aol.com (v75_b1.4) with ESMTP; Mon, 24 Jul 2000 13:06:16 -0400 Received: from lists6.rootsweb.com (lists6.rootsweb.com [63.92.80.125]) by rly-za02.mx.aol.com (v75.18) with ESMTP; Mon, 24 Jul 2000 13:06:04 2000 Received: (from slist@localhost) by lists6.rootsweb.com (8.10.1/8.10.1) id e6OH43120482; Mon, 24 Jul 2000 10:04:03 -0700 Resent-Date: Mon, 24 Jul 2000 10:04:03 -0700 X-Original-Sender: Jeremy.Schmidt@greatnorth.ab.ca Mon Jul 24 10:04:03 2000 Message-Id: <3.0.3.32.20000724111036.0069e7f4@192.168.0.10> X-Sender: Jeremy.Schmidt@192.168.0.10 X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Pro Version 3.0.3 (32) Date: Mon, 24 Jul 2000 11:10:36 -0600 Old-To: GEN-UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES-L@rootsweb.com From: Jeremy Schidmt <Jeremy.Schmidt@greatnorth.ab.ca> Subject: unsbuscribe In-Reply-To: <70.16e79b1.26adcb84@aol.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Resent-Message-ID: <zxBNCC.A.2_E.DcHf5@lists6.rootsweb.com> To: GEN-UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES-L@rootsweb.com Resent-From: GEN-UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES-L@rootsweb.com Reply-To: GEN-UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES-L@rootsweb.com X-Mailing-List: <GEN-UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES-L@rootsweb.com> archive/latest/2193 X-Loop: GEN-UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES-L@rootsweb.com Precedence: list Resent-Sender: GEN-UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES-L-request@rootsweb.com I am finished researching the slave trade for the documentary. Hello, This list is made up of gracious, kind and generous people. Everyone makes mistakes now and then, and I know we are all the kind of people that just accepts the fact these things happen and continue on. To be honest, I am not aware of anything you (Pat) did that required an apology, but whatever it was, I am sure everyone understands and no one is upset. Please reconsider your decision to remove yourself from the list. You have been a valued and long time member of the list. Annie List administrator Pa. I don't understand why this person wants to drop off the list
--part1_b6.844e589.26adc022_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit To Listers I must apologize for this BIG ERROR which I made. I did not mean to be offensive nor did I mean any harm. That is not my style. I always knew I was not perfect. I realize that this can be very upsetting and I beg that my apology be accepted. I receive about 100 emails a day with my business and I do hurry through a great many. However, My purpose here was to congratulate not to be offensive and to share the Joy since I had a similar experience. However, Do not Drop off the List. I will Drop off the List at this time since it was an unintentional mistake on my Part.
