    3. I keep Piriton tablets & Eurax cream with me all the time cos I get swollen & infected, too. Both available over the counter. I think that's what happened to me when I was small - I got bitten & stung, swelled right up & forgot to go back down to normal size !!! :o) Pat.xxx :o)) A Maid of Kent, UK. Your county needs YOU !!! http://FreeCEN.rootsweb.com Looking for ancestors in Kent ? Try: http://www.kent-opc.org.uk/ www.lawrence.eastkentgenealogy.co.uk I don't like horseflies 'cos they don't like me. Twice I have been bitten by them and landed up with a swollen leg and once the infection started spreading up and down my leg along a vein. I was advised to always carry some ant-histamine tablets so that I can take one straight away if I get bitten. They have wings more like a moth than a fly & are quite big. The females bite horses, cattle & humans, the males just go for nectar from plants. They're not nocturnal as a rule - was the table light turned on ? They have fairly big eyes & a bite can be painful cos they have a sort of knife type apparatus that they use for *slash*you with, rather than a normal insect bite. Pat.xxx :o)) A Maid of Kent, UK.
