I LOVE Wallflowers and have often bemoaned the fact that Canada doesn't have them , now find that BC, well in your part Jennifer it does; then it suddenly dawned on me that Wallflowers are a biannual and need at least the first year to grow and the 2nd year to flower and I figured that a lot of Canada is too cold for them, I have been told that in some gardens in UK they come up every year, nobody ever touches them.     3. Hi Marlene, That's exactly what happens in my garden -- the wallflowers come up year after year (I guess no-one's told them they're only supposed to last two years LOL). I only dig them out when they become too woody and spread out. By that time (hopefully) they have seeded themselves -- but this isn't always the case. Then I go and buy some more. Can't be without them.
