    1. 2006 Reunion - part 2
    2. PJK :o))
    3. Sue & Andy arrived at the unsociable hour of 2:45 AM !! Or thereabouts !! Sue had been a bit poorly, so they'd left it to the last minute to leave & coming down at night was better for them. After breakfast on Saturday, we went to Bourton on the Water, a beautiful Cotswold village. It was GORGEOUS. We went to Birdland, a lovely park place with penguins - including a baby one born on 30 May - flamingos, parrots, Kookaburras & countless other birds. It really was fab. Shaun had to use his wheelchair, though, but when we left there, he decided to use his crutches to go round the model village cos there was no room for wheelchairs. It was beautiful - an exact rfeplica of part of the village. It was quite small, though. Compact & bijou !! In the evening, we had a meal in the Beefeater next to the Travel Inn. The food was OK, but it was made better by the brilliant company. We had such a laugh - as usual, the other diners gave us funny looks, but as we were leaving the waitress said it was lovely to see people enjoying thmselves. We WERE loud, but what do they expect from a group of 14 people ??!! Part way through the evening, some strange fella called John phoned, as well. Dunno who he was, but he certainly seemed to enjoy being passed round the table, chatting to us all !! He DID say that he was quite willing to hold a reunion on his narrow boat - be a bit of a squash, but great for hugs !! It was also Karen's birthday, so most of us went back to her room for a while & continued the party !! :o) It was SO hot though, that Mark & I kept sliding off the bed !! (Enough said there !!) Today, the journey home wasn't as bad, but it took us 45 minutes to drive 800 yards at that bloody roundabout again !! It took 5 & a half hours to get home today, so that wasn't too bad - & we managed to make 3 stops, so although Shaun's very achy & stiff, he isn't as bad as he was on Friday. He's off tomorrow so that's not so bad - we worked it this way so that he'd have a day to rest before going back to work. It was a shame we couldn't *do* today at Winchcombe, & see Howard & Bron, Nick & Gwen, but we knew we wouldn't be able to do that & then the drive home. It was just too far. Maybe if the next reunion is closer to Kent, we'll be able to. Just got to sort the piccies out now & then I'll post some to My Family tomorrow. Going to have an early night now. ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz !!! Pat.xxx :o)) A Maid of Kent
