We arrived in Cheltenham at about 5pm coming from the Forest of Dean, having just spent a few days in the Brecon Beacons - it should have been a week in Snowdonia and ancestor searching in the Liverpool Records Office, but this holiday was fated from the start and delayed yet again whe n I found that the hot water tank had sprung a leak!!!! We had a lovely time - taking two hours over breakfast!!! How decadent. It was very hot in Birdland and Sue and I were glad to sit under the trees by the river for part of the time. What more is there to say about the meal - well a lot really, but maybe it wouldn't be so funny for those thgat were not there. Anyway on Sunday morning we all gave a score of 10 for Saturday night - it was a very busy night and even Mark managed to enjoy himself. Sunday Peter and I left after breakfast - the trivvies then had a quiet reunion <G> - as we needed to return home so I could visit my Dad who appears to have taken a turn for the worse again. Like Pat, we too got stuck at that roundabout and managed a 2 miles in 1 hour!!! We enjoyed ourselves so much - thanks Sue for organising us, although I know that sometimes the trivvies can be a pain and not always reply to email requests for information.
