    2. PJK :o))
    3. Birdland seems to be good for parking & somewhere to sit if it rains etc. Plus, if they have picnic areas, there's somewhere to sit outside. Sudely Castle Gardens also sounds good & I expect they'll have more parking. Pat.xxx :o)) A Maid of Kent We could meet at a pub or hotel .. ? .... But - I would suggest they would want us to have a meal there - we gets nothing for free - certainly not these days ... :-)) ......... This place looks okay - there looks to be plenty of room - & their "Funeral Tea" is 8.95 a head ... :-))))) .......... .. http://www.risingsunhotel.com/findus.htm Or we could visit Sudeley Castle --- which is what we started off looking at - but I'm not sure if they have enough 'seats' or anywhere under cover - where we could go to sit & chatter ... I emailed them - and they replied saying they do have a good picnic area in the "Adventure Playground" ... But - the Castle itself won't be open - so it's only the garden - & a coffee shop if we need rain cover ... Not sure on admission prices - especially seeing as the Castle itself isn't open ... http://www.sudeleycastle.co.uk/castlegardens/thecastle.html Hailes Abbey - cheapish to get in - drinks / ice cream available - we can picnic here --- not sure where we'd sit though - unless we took our own chairs .. :-))) ...... http://www.nationaltrust.org uk/main/w-vh/w-visits/w-findaplace/w-hailesabbey.htm Birdland --- they have their own car-park - but it's only a small one - but they say there is another one close-by ---- but theree is a cafe - & places to picnic ... And we could watch the penguins eat --- might be able to stand in line for their fish ... LOL ..... http://www.birdland.co.uk/admissions.htm Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection --- unfortunately there is NO car-parking - so it might be a tad difficult for 'some' of us - but please don't worry about me ... http://www.cotswold-motor-museum.com/sitemap/ Cotswold Perfumery --- the Tour of the Factory does need to be booked in advance - & isn't suitable for the disabled .. Again - don't worry about me - Andy isn't all that keen on "smellies" - & I've seen something like this before ... But we could meet up here - & some of you might like to take a look around ... http://www.cotswold-perfumery.co.uk/factory_tours.html "The Mad Hatter" tearooms --- I've emailed this place - & they can accommodate 14-16 of us ... I asked if they could supply "Tea & Cakes" - & they said yes .... Soooo - it's a possibility - but - I'd have to "book" our place ... I'm not sure how far it is to other places - or whether we could stay here for a few hours - but - I did tell them we liked to "sit & chat" . . :-))) ............ BUT - I have been told that their "tea-'n'-cakes" are a tad pricey --- but - often tea-n-cakes in places like Bourton often are ... The Tourist rip-off ... Andy & I haven't had any time to go & visit - even though we did intend to . . This weekend - for instance - Andy's been working 12+ hour shifts and he's only had 2 days off in the past 21 - and on those - he's had to play catch-up on his sleep - & do things like see-to rellies birthdays ... :-)))) Soooooooo - I'm leaving it up to you to choose --- or maybe you can come up with somewhere else ...
