It was first suggested by Pete in what must have been a private email to SueBossLady and resulted from a long discussion about the origin and history of the List. Sue posted Pete's message to the List on 7th. May 2002. There was some discussion about which date it should be, even whether it should be on that day between 4th. and 6th. of November, or whether it should be 21st. June being the longest day (for some - lol) or 24th. June being 'Midsummer Day' but on 1st. June we finally settled on 21st June as the official 'International Trivvies Day'. Geo. Where has all that time gone, people come and they go but we still think of them like,Pete, and the old Oak tree,they were good times but we have to move on to things like maybe the war years and old english recipes anything to do with our History what do you think.
