Carlisle Patriot Friday, August 13th, 1880 MAN AND WIFE SENTENCED TO DEATH.—At the Central Criminal Court on Saturday, before Mr. Justice HAWKINS, Robert Slade CULMORE (44) and his wife, Jane CULMORE (42) were jointly charged with the murder of Mary BUDGE, by causing unlawful violence in order to procure a miscarriage. They were found guilty and were sentenced to death in the usual form. -- Emily Smith
