Geo. <OUCH!> THE CARLISLE PATRIOT - Saturday, July 22, 1843 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ACCIDENT. -- As the eldest son of Mr. GEORGE GAMMYL, waller, of Cockermouth, was whitewashing in the New Market, on Friday week, the ladder on which he was standing slipped, when his arm was extended to the utmost; and he would have fallen with it, but a hook in the wall caught his hand, and held him suspended in excruciating torture for a short time. The hook which was loose, at last gave way, and the young man fell to the ground. Although the injury is very serious, it is expected he will be able to resume his work before long.
