Been there and done that and through that, learned not to be so silly to try and be taller. So I bought myself a sturdy stepping stool about 10 ins high with about 14" x 12" standing space and now it visits various parts of the apartment ... even in the bathroom when I have a bath ... just in case I have trouble getting out. It's been a good purchase, I feel safer on that than my 3 step one which is a fairly safe one.
