The following telegram was posted at the War Office on Tuesday from the General at Capetown: "In a skirmish on the 18th of November the following troopers of Colonel PLUMER'S force were killed: Troopers GEORGE LOCK and GEORGE HENRY PERRETT. Trooper MARCUS BARTHROPP is missing. Mafeking all well November 20th, but investment closer. Natives quiet everywhere." .....
