Fortunately for myself and most of my family live in the Central Valley, while the fire hurt the Southern part of the state the hardest. Our county ended up sending several of our firemen to San Diego to help with the putting out of the fires. I do have people I care about who live in the Los Angeles/San Diego areas including one person who lives in the path of the fire (but his home was ok), so I was pretty concerned, and it was sad to turn on the television on and see the devastation.
