US-C 100 lb (45.359∼ kg) = (short) hundredweight. BI 1859 ( cH , centner , kintal , new hundredweight ) 100 lb (45.359∼ kg), usually for grains; British (long) hundredweight of 112 lb, called also quintal. Removed from official measures by Statutory Instrument 2484 of 1978, Connor R. D.
