Many thanks for your welcome email. I now live in Salisbury, Wiltshire, which is a lovely place. But I am really a Londoner, I was born there and lived there all my life until a few years ago when we moved to Devon. Another really beautiful place. Then when my husband died, 3 years ago, I decided I would go and live nearer to my two daughters. It was a good move and I love it here. I do miss being by the sea but other things make up for that. I am very interested in tracing our family history and have got as far back as 1770. So I am on the London list which has about a thousand members and also the LONDON LIFE list which is about things appertaining to London itself. Both are immensely interesting as I'm sure this list is. Everybody has such interesting things to say and share with the list. Kind regards to everyone, from Margaret.

Welcome to our List Margaret... these days I seem to trail behind every one ... I remember I used to always be always up in front if not the first with the welcomes. What part of London did you hail from, I hailed from Edmonton London, and many years ago in 1952 left my no 1 son to spend a weekend in Salisbury and Blandford Camp where my husband was finishing his training. Lovely area and Salisbury Cathedral is so beautiful. My no1 son is Big Dave who does the reminders for the B'days and Anniversaries. Our Gen Trivia List and Lizzie and I think Di are a lot older than quite a few of us that used to be on the London List and there have been many more that have come and gone, but since the latter part of 1999 and Spring 2000 we became sort of a great Trivvie Family .... we have lost a few of the oldies to newer lists and family probs. Hi Margaret, welcome to the list....... Salisbury .... did a lot of my army training down there ..... beautiful country ...but like you I am also a Londoner..... born at the Mothers Hospital in Hackney but the family mainly came from Edmonton/Enfield area. The trivvie that was asking for the Suffolk phone number is in fact my lovely Mother (Marlene) who lives in Toronto ( I expect to see her over here as soon as she recovers from her quadruple bypass operation and her broken wrist whilst trying to shop backwards).
