There was a Kempe family living in St. Petersburg before 1917, It was a family which also had a Swedish connection. A rubber factory named Trkugolnik was founded in St. Petersburg by a member of the Kempe family before 1914 , Known names are Mrs Emilie Kempe-Speikt and the names of two of her children. There was Tonia Kempe, born in St. Petersburg on 26-10-1892 [European calendar], also known as Antonina Borisnovna. Her brother was called Fedia. He studied engineering in Munich before 1914. The family fled Russia in 1917. Is anything known about the Kempe family background or the Trkugolnik rubber factory in St. Petersburg? Information welcomed.
