    3. I have been researching my wife's family from Piotrokowice, Tarnow, Galicia, Poland. The church records are in Latin, of course. I have compiled a genealogy based on baptismal records, but had difficulty with some of the given names. Yesterday I spoke with Fr Frank Thomas, who is the archivist at the Catholic Center in Baltimore, MD. He told me that around 1919, it became Church law that all children be baptised using a Saint's name. Although the records I am looking at are older than this law, I certainly want to explore this, as it seems almost all the names I have seen are Saint's names. So, can anyone help me find a list of the Saints' names in Latin, and the (this would be a bonus) English translations. Of course, Polish translations would be icing on the cake. (Some of these translations are easy: Joannus-->John, but some are hard: Jacobus-->James <yes *James*>) Any suggestions for sources? Thanks Ralph Do you believe in Macintosh?
