Kozubchik is certainly a 'diminutive' of Kozub, but if it is Ukrainian it seems strange that there wouldn't be a single mention of it in Canada, where there was a large influx of Ukrainian immigrants. One possibility is that the Canadian group would have been largely of Galician and Bukovinian origin. But, given that Kozub is common, then if Kozubchik is 'legit', there should certainly have been some mention of it. Sorry I can't help further. Bill W
