For years I assumed that my Grandfather was born in Poland.. I even found another CHUDERSKI currently living in Poland. As I began to dig I found out some things that have really confused me and has brought me to a complete stop. 1. My Grandfather was born in Lwow, Poland ..Jan. 30, 1886, Now I find out... Lwow was a part of the "Russian Partition" , is now called Lviv and is located in the Ukraine. 2. Digging I found out that Ch in Polish is pronounced as an H... now I understand that my Grandfather spoke English when he came to this country... and since I cannot find any reference to CHUDERSKI... I ask myself if I should look for HUDERSKI or some such spelling? IF there is anyone out there who can shed some light on my confusion....PLEASE help.
