Hello all, I just finished reading a few messages about the census. Today I made it to the historical society and was looking through the census for 1920. Here are a few interesting things I found. --one entry had the house number and said "refused to answer" with "refused" underlined. --Town the census was taken listed at the top of one page as Edwardsdale and on the next page Edwardsville. The correct name is Edwardsville. --Place of birth listed as Slovakland. --Place of birth listed as Eukrania. This just proves that the census is only as good as the people who wrote it, gave the information, and those of us who try to figure out what it says. By the way, am I wrong to assume that Slovakland is Slovakia or maybe the surrounding area? and, please tell me that Eukrania is really the Ukraine. I did not read these wrong, they were listed Several times. Thank you, Andrea
