Researching origins of the name/family. Paternal grandfather born in Modliborzyce, Russian Poland, April 26, 1879. Came to U.S. according to entry in 1910 census (Missouri) under "Potsa" in 1905. Married in 1905 to Ewa (Eva) Holody (Cholody) born in Krasnik, Potok Wielk(parish), Russian Poland, November 18, 1883. She joined him in Leadwood, Missouri in 1907. Some recent information on name itself indicates Hungarian/Czech/Slovak roots. Are there any Pacosz' extant in Poland? Elsewhere? A "Michal Paczos" and a "Stanislaw Paczos" listed as recipients of Virtuti Militari honors. Do not have any other information on these individuals. Am researching at local FHC.
