Hello to all, I am making a long-awaited trip to Chicago on March 22 to do research on my husband's father's family. I would like to spend at least one full day at the National Archives there, and would appreciate some pointers on what kind of research I can do there and how best to spend my time. I have family names and immigration dates (year only for two, month for one) for three family members, but have been unable to find ship names to search passenger lists. I do not have death dates for most either. Any suggestions from others who have used the Natl. Archives would be very helpful. Also, can anyone tell me where I can find (or purchase) a current telephone directory for Slovakia, especially the region of Orava near Dolny Kubin? Another researcher who is looking for the same surname as I am is interested in this directory. Thank you for any help you can give me.
