Kdtner (Kaetner) is someone which lives in a "Kate". "Kate" is a small farmhouse without or with little farmland. The Kdtners were often at the same time farmers on their own land and farmworkers/day-labourers or earned their money with handicrafts. The word Kdtner is used in diffrent regions, similar like Kvtter or Hdusler in other parts of Germany Florian ------------------------------------------------------------- Florian Speer * D - 421205 Wuppertal * Fax: 0049-202-3702896 IBACH-Archiv: Dokumente zu 200 Jahren IBACH-Klavierbau -------------------------------------------------------------
