Josephdol is now Josipdol and lies in the Kapela region of Croatia, near Ogulin ; this area used to be inhabitated by the krayishnik Serbs, most of them expelled in 1995... Lukovia is not in a serbo-croatian form but that's all I could say. By the way Ksenija Sirota is a 100% genuine Krajisnik-Serb name with Sirota meaning Poor. So far I could appreciate Serbian last names this one is very beautiful. All in all your ancestors were Serbs from Croatia (as Nikola Tesla q.v.) and it means that further research in this country will be quite hard because many Serbian churches and records from past centuries have been burnt by Croatian "non-controled elements" Good Luck ;-)
