I am researching my Slovak roots. My great-grandfather, John Martin Savel was my immigrant ancestor to the US. He was born in Hranovnica, Slovakia (present day Slovak Republic) in the parrish(?) land of Spisska Zupa 9 Jan 1878. He married his wife, my great-grandmother, Katerine Szabo in 1904. They, and my great-uncle Martin, traveled to the US and settled in Pennsylvania. My family is uncertain of when this trip occured, they estimate around 1905. Can anyone out there help me with this? If someone can do a look up for me, or tell me where to look it would be MUCH appreciated. Also, my family has done extensive research on the SAVELY surname.
