New subscriber researching relatives from eastern Europe. John (Jan) Skripek (1869 - 1934). Immigrated to Catasauqua, PA from Lubica, Slovakia in the early 1900's to work at the Crane Iron Works. He is listed as being from Gabel, Galicia on his daughters birth certificate. I have not had any luck in finding out where Gabel is. Katerina Beskid (1875 - 1948). Wife of John Skripek. Born in Jakubany, Slovakia. John Procak (Proctak, Prosak...) - Born 1850 in Lesko-Smilnyk, Galicia. Died in 1904 in Northampton, PA. Immigrated in late 1880's to PA.
