I do not read anything in the self-serving announcement which arrived from CAlvin that has any bearing on an ancestor search or genealogy, or history of anything except greed, and I'm quite sure the humor was unintentional. Could this person, if in fact the spam producer is human and not a construct, be severely admonished as to list courtesy? This message was entirely against any rules for mailing lists that I've ever seen published as a part of Rootsweb, is completely spam, is highly offensive, and has no place on a genealogy mailing list.
