Scheideman & Priff came from Brunnentral & Hussenbach area. Konrad Scheideman is my grandfather, his parents were John Fredrick & Mary (Marie) Stailer or Starkel Scheideman. There were 6 children all together, Konrad, Martin, George, & another son. 2 daughters, 1 daughter married ? Priff, had a daughter by the name of Amalia. George was murdered some where in Russia in 1902 or 1903, the unknown son just disappeared, he said he was going to states, but no one knows if he made it or not. The 2 daughters died of consumption. Now Mary (Marie) was married either before or after Scheideman. His name was ? Brill. I was told that Brill came from Germany. Had 2 children, Louise & George. Now Louise & George came to the States at some point, but Mary (Marie) died in Russia in 1917. This is about all I know at this point, I have birth dates, and I know when Martin b. 1887 & Konrad b. 1879 came to the States, Konrad in 1899 & Martin in 1905. Martin & Katherine Schneider Scheideman were married in 1/1905 in Russia. They lost the firstborn son abroad on the way to the states in 12/1905. Martin and Katherine had 10 children. Konrad married Helena Ackerman, and settled in Clay Center, KS. They had 11 children. If you have any ideas on how to proceed, I would appreciate any suggestions you can give me. The information states that Martin arrived at Boston Mass on 7/4/1907. How can I confirm these dates, since I have 12/1905 & the other date found is 7/1907? How can I get a copy of his declaration of intent.? Where can I look to try to find the other members of this family, The missing brother, and the 2 daughters ? Stefanus was married twice and fathered eight children; two from his first wife, Andrew, and Lars, and six from his second wife Ann Kristine. They were John, Olaf, Emil, Pete, Divida, and Anna. Some children immigrated to Saskatchewan, Canada, and it is believed others went to Minnesota and Pennsylvania and may have changed the spelling to WAHLBERG. I am interested in researching the Kazuby, descendants of Slavic Pommeranians who once lived in the area west of Gdansk, Poland. The main town is Kartuzy. The Kashubian dialect is the oldest of all Polish dialects, but is not as developed as the Polish language itself. (This info from book "Polish Roots" by Rosemary A. Chorzempa, published by the Genealogical Publishing Co Inc..) My maternal great grandmother Bertha Reknagel and her elders lived in the area from about 1780 to at least 1858 in Przewoz on Lake Gladzno, 14 km south of B,tow.
