    1. Uyak
    2. Elaine T. Maddox
    3. Uyak is a pretty well known name in Alaska (Kodiak). The AltaVista search engine picked up over 400 Uyak's in a simple search of the Internet. You might be interested in running a search. I found a picture of a very charming child who appears to be attached to an Indonesian email name of Uyak. Good luck. 3. Hey, I saw a town called Antosovice near the city of Bohumin. Bohumin is NW of Ostrava in the Czech Republic. "Czech" it out. There is also a town called Antoninov, another called Antonka, and a few others. When you say the location in Czech, sometimes the spelling changes. Ask a skilled Czech person about the pronounciation.

Try to find (ask here) whether Anton... could be in Slovakia/Czech? In any case, good luck!

    1. PACZOS, PACOSZ, OTHER VARIANTS; meaning, origins, etc.
    2. Larry Rollings
    3. Researching origins of the name/family. Paternal grandfather born in Modliborzyce, Russian Poland, April 26, 1879. Came to U.S. according to entry in 1910 census (Missouri) under "Potsa" in 1905. Married in 1905 to Ewa (Eva) Holody (Cholody) born in Krasnik, Potok Wielk(parish), Russian Poland, November 18, 1883. She joined him in Leadwood, Missouri in 1907. Some recent information on name itself indicates Hungarian/Czech/Slovak roots. Are there any Pacosz' extant in Poland? Elsewhere? A "Michal Paczos" and a "Stanislaw Paczos" listed as recipients of Virtuti Militari honors. Do not have any other information on these individuals. Am researching at local FHC. All family who would know more are deceased. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you. Christina Pacosz. E-mail: [email protected]
