    3. I'm not sure about marriage records, but one place I have contacted for vital records is the New York City Archives. Unfortunately, both of my encounters with them have left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Must have caught them on a bad day, both times. Have you tried the marriage films from the FHC? Have you searched the films of the yearly NYC directories for the years after 1905? Trying posting NYC queries on the NYC mailing list - pretty busy, with normally quick responses from people on the list. Anyway, good luck - I know how difficult any record in NYC can be when the exact date is not known.
