As ward family history consultant, the bishop has asked me to help a new convert find her ancestors. Although her parents never joined the church (she just turned 18), her grandmother (also nonmember) has been doing genealogy and has traced the Meeker line back into the 1600's. When checking the IGI, we were astounded that from her great grandfather back, all the temple work has been done (not just once either, but 4 or 5 times!). In trying to explain this to myself, I vaguely remember that there was someone with the last name of Meeker around the time of Joseph Smith. Does anyone out there remember any more than this?? If this was the case, it could explain why there is so much temple work done on the Meeker line. Thanks, Sherrie Wieland
