I am trying to find out what area of New York City I need to write to request marriage certificate of my grandparents who married in that area about 1905. My aunt, their first child, was born in 1906 when they lived at 224 W. 142nd Street - from what my internet map sources show, that street is just north of Harlem & west of Bronx. Does anyone know which of those areas I should write to request a marriage cert? Not knowing the area, I am at a loss & in order to write, I need to know specifically an area. thanks for your help, Carol stantons@concentric.net
