Family tradition of my friend says that an ancestor was one of the teamsters who participated in the rescue of the Willie and Martin Handcart company. There is supposedly a reference in a book by Nephi Anderson that names the rescuers. The name of the book is possibly "History of the Church." Does anyone know where I could find this book or know of any other reference that might help. I have recently moved to SL area and my friend has asked for my help. If this can be verified, it will be her Christmas gift to her parents. Any ideas where to start?
