Hi everyone! I am new to internet access and also to searching for genealogy information. Please bear with me as I bungle around. My name is Cathy Vancour and I live in Sharpsburg, Maryland. Right near the Antietam Battlefield (from Civil War fame) It's a beautiful part of the country and I love it here. We have been in the church for 20 years now. Joined in Glendale California, are originally from Massachusetts. Have lived in Mass, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Calif. and now Maryland. We have six children (seven if we count our foreign exchange student who lived with us for two years, now attends Buffalo State College). The oldest is in the army, the next son is on his mission in San Fernando California Mission. Then we have a senior, a sophmore, freshman, and the youngest (our only daughter) is in sixth grade. I have dabbled with genealogy off and on for years, but now I have a little more time to devote to searching my roots. I'm concentrating on my maternal side who are all from Scotland as far as I can tell at the moment. Paternal side is Poland and I haven't really even attempted to find info on that side. I use the PAF 3.0 program If anyone can help or head me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. If I can help anyone let me know.
