I have used Ancestral Quest and find it very easy it also allows you to do the temple ready feature. I used PAF before also. AQ will accept the format of PAF 2.x but not PAF 3.0. Both programs have very clumsy search engines when trying to merge people. They work ok but I have not found one yet that will search and find all the duplicates. -----Original Message----- From: Laurie Ray [mailto:jmlsray1@bellsouth.net] Sent: Thursday, August 27, 1998 6:10 PM To: GEN-ROOTERS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [GEN-ROOTERS-L] Lesson Two This is a subject I would like to add my two cents too. I have Family Orgins and really like it. It is really easy to use for creating temple ready disc also so you can take them right to the FHC and get them ready for the temple. I also love the reports and how you can choose the LDS support option. I have also used Ancestral Quest and like it but I've gotten really use to the ease of input on Family Orgins. I recently tried Ultimate Family Tree and wouldn't reccomend it to anyone. Especially someone that wants or need LDS support. I am very unhappy with it and as soon as I get a refund I'm getting the new family orgins. I think a good program with easy input and LDS support is a nessecity for any FH work.
